The 32nd annual Wyandotte Youth Fishing Derby was held at Bishop park Saturday, June 1 and, as usual, it drew tons of participants to the shores of the Detroit River. Kids ranging from 5-13 years of age competed for prizes and trophies in several categories, including longest fish, smallest fish, most fish caught, and most unusual item caught. In addition, every child received a gift bag with miscellaneous coupons and gift certificates from local merchants, including such things as small gifts, program flyers, movie passes and recreational and fast food coupons.
